HERE’S HOW TO MEASURE UP TO ENSURE A PERFECT FIT.

All you need is a tape measure, a pen and a sheet of paper!

STEP ONE

Decide whether you want your roller blind to fit inside, or outside the window frame.
We suggest an inside fit as it is the most aesthetically pleasing and provides better insulation being closer to the window glass. There are some instances where an inside fit won’t work or you might prefer an outside fit such as kids bedrooms as the blind covers the full area of the window frame, reducing the amount of light entering the room.

STEP TWO

Measure the width and drop for your blind.
For an inside fit, measure the width to the nearest mm inside the window frame, once at the top, and again at the bottom. As some windows aren’t perfectly square, we advise to take the two measurements and use the smaller of the two. To measure the drop, take two measurements inside the window frame, once at the left side and again at the right side. Use the smaller of the two measurements. We will produce a blind slightly smaller than these dimensions to ensure the blind fits inside your window frame.
For an outside fit, measure the width to the nearst mm from the outside of the window architrave on the left, to the outside of the architrave on the right. Measure once at the top, and again at the bottom and use the smaller of the two. To measure the drop, measure from the top of the top architrave to the bottom of the bottom architrave. Once at the left side and again at the right side of the window. Use the smaller of the two measurements. We will produce a blind to your measurements which include all fittings. Note the fabric is approximately 35mm narrower overall than your measurements to allow for the blind componentary.

STEP THREE

Decide on the control side and measure the control length. Control side is personal preference however we recommend deciding which side of the blind would be easiest to control the window from. Control length is also personal preference however for an inside fit blind you need to ensure the length of the control is shorter than the drop measurement for the blind. Take the control length measurement from the top of the window down to a convenient length.
